With ‘true leadership’ spirit, what Rustom Kanga has accomplished in establishing his own business and flourishing in it is commendable. Dr. Rustom Kanga is CEO of iOmniscient, a company specializing in advanced video analytics.

He graduated from IIT Bombay with a first class honors degree in Chemical Engineering. To this he added a Masters (with Distinction) in Management from the London School of Economics, and a PhD in Finance from the University of London.

Dr Kanga views himself as a citizen of the world having lived and worked in several different countries over the years.

Currently he calls Australia home. In the early 1980s, Dr. Rustom Kanga led the team that built the world’s first commercial artificial intelligence (AI) based system at Digital Equipment Corporation.

For several years, until August 2000, he was Vice President for Compaq’s Telecommunications Line of Business in the Asia Pacific.

In 2001, Dr Kanga co-founded iOmniscient to bring Artificial Intelligence to the Security Industry.

He authored the world’s first comprehensive book on Automated Surveillance as well as books on Smart Cities and Facial Recognition.

In a lighter vein he is the author of a book called, “There’s a Cobra in my Kitchen and other Humorous Tales”.
