The Security Industry Association (SIA) has announced new leadership for the SIA Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) Technical Subcommittee, appointing Constantine Tremouliaris of ASSA ABLOY as chair and Jon Uren of Cypress Integration Solutions as vice chair.
In their new roles, Tremouliaris and Uren will lead an expert group of access control manufacturers, integrators, and end users responsible for developing and advancing the SIA Open Supervised Device Protocol. OSDP is an access control communications standard designed to improve interoperability and security across access control and security products.
Oversight Of The OSDP Standard
The OSDP Technical Subcommittee serves as the primary editor of the OSDP standard and is responsible for reviewing and approving draft revisions before submission to the SIA Standards Committee. The group also coordinates and reviews OSDP-related research projects, provides technical guidance, and addresses interpretation requests related to the protocol.
Leadership Background And Experience
Constantine Tremouliaris serves as manager of alliances and standards at ASSA ABLOY Group, where he focuses on global standards alignment and advancing practical interoperability across access control ecosystems.
His background spans integrated solutions, low-voltage technologies, and security project management, supported by nearly a decade of industry experience. Tremouliaris has been an active contributor to OSDP development and also serves on the SIA RISE Steering Committee, where he is the 2026 chair of AcceleRISE.
“I’m grateful for the leadership that has brought OSDP to where it is today and look forward to helping guide its next chapter,” said Tremouliaris.
“As chair, my priority is to support a collaborative and transparent approach that strengthens interoperability, while ensuring OSDP continues to evolve to meet the needs of the security market—today and as new threats, technologies and use cases emerge.”
Jon Uren brings more than 16 years of experience at Cypress Integration Solutions, where he currently serves as president and CEO. Over his tenure, he has held multiple leadership and technical roles, including vice president and chief operations officer, engineering coordinator, and product development engineer, contributing to innovation and operational growth.
“I’m honored to help lead the OSDP committee into its next chapter,” said Uren.
“I’m focused on maintaining the transparency that makes our work successful while pushing for even stronger industry interoperability. Working with the chair, I want to make sure OSDP remains the benchmark for secure communication, evolving proactively to meet the changing demands of the security market.”
Industry Support And Momentum
SIA leadership emphasized the importance of continued progress around OSDP adoption and interoperability.
“SIA is proud to welcome Constantine Tremouliaris and Jon Uren as the new leaders of the SIA OSDP Technical Subcommittee,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson.
“These accomplished and dedicated leaders will bring invaluable expertise, creativity and enthusiasm to the subcommittee’s efforts to improve interoperability among access control and security products. SIA OSDP continues to steadily gain momentum as the standard for secure access control.
We thank outgoing chair Tony Diodato and outgoing vice chair Steve Rogers for their service and look forward to collaborating with Constantine, Jon and the subcommittee to build on the group’s success and drive innovation and excellence in our industry.”
SIA also encouraged employees of member companies to engage more deeply through volunteer opportunities, including committee participation, education and training programs, advocacy efforts, publications, and industry events.
