New ULTRALOQ Latch 7 Pro and ULTRALOQ Bolt Sense lead the shift from “smart locks” to seamless experiences
Xthings is redefining smart home entry by shifting from traditional “smart locks” to a seamless Smart Access experience where presence, identity, and interoperability work together naturally at the front door. At CES 2026, the company unveiled its “Connect Future” vision, highlighting how smart access should feel intuitive, automatic, and secure—without friction or complexity.
Built on its history of transforming emerging standards into real-world solutions, Xthings positions its ULTRALOQ product line as a core pillar of this evolution, enabling homes to respond intelligently to who you are and when you arrive.
Smart Access: Presence, Identity, and Interoperability
At the heart of Xthings’ Smart Access vision is a combination of advanced sensing and standards-based connectivity. The approach brings together Ultra-Wideband (UWB) presence detection, planned Aliro support for NFC and UWB digital keys, and next-generation biometrics including palm vein and 3D facial recognition.
This ecosystem-first design is supported by planned Matter, long-range Z-Wave, and compatibility with leading smart home platforms such as Apple, Alexa, Google, and other third-party ecosystems. ULTRALOQ devices are designed to integrate seamlessly without locking homeowners or installers into proprietary systems.
“Keyless entry shouldn’t feel like a workflow,” said Raj Sundar, Senior Director of Product Management at Xthings.
“The next era of smart access is invisible: your credentials, your proximity, and your biometric identity working together securely, so your home responds naturally to you.”
ULTRALOQ Latch 7 Pro: Standards-First Smart Lock
ULTRALOQ Latch 7 Pro, available in Q1 2026, is a flagship latch-style smart lock engineered for both residential and professional installations. Designed to meet BHMA/ANSI requirements, it prioritizes interoperability and long-term flexibility.
Latch 7 Pro is built around a standards-first architecture, with planned Aliro support aimed at enabling universal digital keys across platforms. The lock will support Matter over Thread, delivering fast, local-first connectivity that enhances responsiveness and reliability.
For installations that rely on Z-Wave, Latch 7 Pro will also support long-range Z-Wave on the Z-Wave 800 Series platform. This enables extended coverage, strong security, reduced repeater requirements in many environments, and improved battery efficiency.
ULTRALOQ Bolt Sense: Biometric-First Entry
ULTRALOQ Bolt Sense, launching in Q2 2026, is designed for a true “walk-up and enter” experience by using biometric identity as the primary credential. Rather than relying on phones, apps, or PINs, Bolt Sense combines 3D facial recognition with palm vein authentication.
Palm vein recognition reads sub-surface vein patterns, providing a balance of convenience and security while remaining effective in real-world conditions such as wet or dry hands, worn fingerprints, or when users are carrying items. The dual-biometric system is paired with active approach sensing, eliminating the need to search for sensors or keypads.
Advanced infrared technology and adaptive low-light performance allow Bolt Sense to operate reliably from total darkness to harsh daylight. With built-in Wi-Fi and planned Matter support, the lock is designed to integrate smoothly into modern smart home environments.
ULTRALOQ Bolt Mission UWB: Now Available
Xthings also announced that the ULTRALOQ Bolt Mission UWB, first unveiled at CES 2025, is now available for purchase. Powered by Ultra-Wideband precision, the lock enables truly hands-free access while helping prevent accidental unlocks.
Bolt Mission UWB reflects the next phase of ULTRALOQ’s Smart Access strategy—automatic, secure, and intentionally designed to feel effortless without sacrificing control.
Future Smart Lock Roadmap
At CES 2026, ULTRALOQ is previewing future smart lock models built on the Z-Wave 800 Series platform. These upcoming products will feature S2 security, SmartStart provisioning, Z-Wave Long Range performance, and improved battery efficiency to support larger and more complex installations.
The company is also expanding its Matter-enabled smart lock portfolio, reinforcing its commitment to cross-platform compatibility and ecosystem flexibility.
ULTRALOQ’s full lineup is on display at CES 2026 at the Xthings booth, Venetian Expo, Booth #52317.
