Qylur Intelligent Systems Awarded U.S. Air Force SBIR Phase I Contract, Taps into Dual-Use Autonomous AI Market

Qylur announced that it has been awarded a phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from the Department of Defense Air Force AFWERX SBIR program, for its SNIM® AI platform. Under the contract, Qylur is exploring the adaptation of its SNIM® AI technology and how it can help the U.S. Air Force expedite the fielding of AI-based Collaborative Autonomous Systems, such as drones, UAVs, and ground systems.

SAFR from RealNetworks Awarded $1.9M in Phase II Small Business Innovation Research Contracts from the USAF

SAFR announced it has been awarded two Phase II Small Business Innovation Research contracts of approximately $950k each or $1.9M in total from AFWERX. These contracts provide funding to adapt the SAFR platform for use by the Air Force for perimeter security and secure access. Once developed for the USAF, the SBIR/STTR program allows for any other federal agency to award a sole-source contract for technology developed under the program. SAFR will be enhanced to integrate real-time facial recognition across a range of fixed and mobile device embedded cameras

Team Dedrone Wins First Prize At ?Game Of Drones? Competition

Dedrone, the market and technology leader in airspace security, announced that its team of Echodyne Corporation, Squarehead Technologies and Battelle, won first place at ThunderDrone?s ?Game of Drones? outdoor demonstration at Nellis Air Force Base and AFWERX enclave, June 18-20. Hosted by AFWERX, Team Dedrone bested five other teams in the last of three ThunderDrone rapid prototyping events focusing on countering small, unmanned aerial drones. Team Dedrone successfully demonstrated the capabilities of a layered detection, tracking, classification and mitigation solution that defends protected airspace against aerial drone threats.
