Dedrone announced the launch of its latest airspace security solution, DedroneOnTheMove (DedroneOTM). This solution expands Dedrone’s suite of offerings for agile, modular, adaptable, battle-proven counter-drone defense for expeditionary forces deployed in volatile or high-risk environments. Dedrone announced that it is the first counter-drone company to receive the Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002 (SAFETY Act) Designation status from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of SAFETY Act Implementation (OSAI). Dedrone announced its acquisition of Aerial Armor, a leader in counterdrone systems and integrator of drone detection hardware. Dedrone announced it partnered with Threat Management Group (TMG) to provide airspace security for South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) during the popular Cooper River Bridge Run. Due to the pandemic, the annual race was held twice within a six-month period, in September 2021 and again in April 2022. SLED utilized Dedrone technology to secure the airspace for runners and spectators during both events.

Dedrone and Carahsoft Technology announced a strategic partnership to bring the anti-drone security solution to the Public Sector. As part of the agreement, Carahsoft will serve as Dedrone’s Master Government Aggregator®, making Dedrone’s smart airspace technology available through Carahsoft’s Illinois Learning Technology Purchase Program (ILTPP) and NJSBA Technology & Cybersecurity contract, as well as through Carahsoft’s network of reseller partners. Dedrone announced it has closed a $30.5 million Series C financing round led by Axon. Previous investors, including Aqton Partners, Menlo Ventures, Felicis Ventures, Target Partners, TempoCap and John Chambers, Chairman Emeritus of Cisco Systems and founder of JC2 Ventures, also participated. Dedrone Announces Successful Citywide Airspace Security Deployment
Dedrone successfully implements a citywide airspace security deployment in Southern Europe. Dedrone protects people, property, and information from drone threats across large footprint areas like cities, airports, and power plants. A major metropolitan city in Southern Europe has deployed less than a dozen DedroneSensors to detect, track and locate drones and their pilots across the city center. The protected area includes internationally renowned tourist destinations, corporate and shopping districts, residential areas, and a port encompassing 50 square kilometers.
Dedrone Protects Preakness 146 from Drone Threats
Dedrone announces the successful implementation of Dedrone’s counter-drone technology at Preakness 146. Dedrone worked with the security team from 1/ST and the Maryland Jockey Club, owners of Pimlico Race Course, home of the Preakness Stakes, in the weeks leading up to the event for a pre-event threat assessment. On multiple occasions before race day, unauthorized drone pilots were detected and located with Dedrone enabling security teams to respond to potential threats in real-time.
