ASIS’ Annual Expo Now Called ‘Global Security Exchange’

ASIS International has announced it has changed the name of its annual security conference from the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits to the Global Security Exchange (GSX). Building on a 60+ year legacy of security event distinction, the newly branded GSX will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from September 23-27, 2018, in partnership with InfraGard and ISSA.

SoCal’s Premiere Physical Security Gathering This Friday In San Diego

The San Diego Security Conference (SDSC) is Southern California’s premiere physical security gathering and is different in one major area over other conferences and expos. At the SDSC, manufacturers will showcase their products and solutions in a real-world live simulated Security Operations Center (SOC). Participating vendors will incorporate their specific products into the “Security Solution Wall” highlighting the various components of an overall physical security infrastructure. In this environment, attendees will be able to get a better look and understanding of how the various components of a physical security ecosystem interoperate. This year’s event will is held in conjunction with the Autonomous Security Association.

Security.World To Host San Diego Security Show 2017

Yes, there are a lot of trade shows, conferences, and expos in the physical security industry. A look at our industry events page will highlight that statement. And there is so much talk about interoperability and openness. There are standards like ONVIF and the specifications put out by the PSIA to promote such interoperability. But why then is it so hard to see this openness, this interoperability at these trade shows. We asked that very question and decided to do something about it.
