HID Global Names Björn Lidefelt President and CEO
HID Global announces Björn Lidefelt has been named President and CEO. Björn joins the company after serving as Chief Commercial Officer at HID parent company ASSA ABLOY, where he oversaw branding, communications, commercial development and strategy. He also has extensive experience in international sales and marketing, having spent more than nine years in Asia Pacific markets including China and Malaysia.
ASSA ABLOY Acquires LifeSafety Power
ASSA ABLOY has acquired LifeSafety Power, a leading US supplier of smart integrated access control power solutions for OEMs, integrators and end-users. LifeSafety Power was established in 2009 and has some 65 employees. The main office is located in Libertyville, Illinois. Sales for 2019 are expected to reach about USD 30 million with a good EBIT margin and the acquisition will be accretive to EPS from start. The ASSA ABLOY Group is a global leader in access solutions.
ASSA ABLOY Sells Wood Door Business In The US To Masonite
ASSA ABLOY has sold its Wood Door business in the US to Masonite. The ASSA ABLOY Wood Door business consists of two companies Graham Wood Doors, based in Mason City, Iowa and The Maiman Company, based in Springfield, Missouri with a total of 275 employees. Graham is a manufacturer of flush architectural wood doors and Maiman is a manufacturer of thermal fused doors and stile and rail doors. The business had a turnover in 2017 of approximately USD 70 million. The transaction will have a positive effect on ASSA ABLOY´s operating margin and be neutral to EPS.
