Reflecting a major endorsement for decentralized identity, Ontology announced today that ONT ID, its decentralized digital identity application, has surpassed 1.5 million users. ONT ID uses blockchain and cryptographic technology to connect people, data, and services in a decentralized way. It allows users to take charge of their digital identity by giving them control of how and when their information is shared, and with whom.
In a bid to further the shared goal of bringing about greater data privacy and transparency, Ontology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Litentry. As part of the agreement, the two pioneers in decentralized identity and data management solutions will collaborate to integrate Ontology’s bespoke decentralized identity solution, DeID, and DDXF, Ontology’s decentralized data exchange, and collaboration framework, into Litentry’s identity aggregation and computation system.
