SureView Integrates ShotSpotter Technology into Its PSIM Platforms
SureView Systems and ShotSpotter investigate and deter crime, today announced the integration of their intelligence-based flagship technologies. The integration of ShotSpotter’s gunshot detection system with SureView’s Next-Generation PSIM, (Physical Security Information Management) platform, improves the ability of security operations centers (SOC) to effectively manage real-time responses to gunshots. ShotSpotter uses acoustic sensors to reliably detect and accurately locate gunshots. Alerts are produced within 60 seconds of trigger pull and include the location of the gunfire, number of rounds fired, and details about whether there were multiple shooters or high-capacity weapons used.
ShotSpotter Launches Outdoor Gunfire Detection for Stores and Malls
ShotSpotter investigate launched its ShotSpotter SiteSecure for Retail program to provide outdoor gunfire detection for retail chains and malls. ShotSpotter SiteSecure is a gunfire detection solution that alerts retail security personnel within seconds of a shooting incident around their stores and parking lots, protecting retail shoppers and associates by enabling faster response by security, law enforcement and medical personnel. Fatalities and violent incidents in retail spiked to an all-time high in 2020.
Hartford Crime Center Expands City Surveillance To Optimize Safety
Milestone open platform IP video management software (VMS) is combined with network cameras from Axis Communications to provide ongoing security upgrades for the City of Hartford, Connecticut. The police can prevent and respond fast to incidents throughout the city, as well as manage the swell of activities during public events. The Milestone open architecture has enabled integrations with third-party analytics software from BriefCam, The Hawkeye Effect, and ShotSpotter that help the police department save time and maximize efficiency.
