MicroPower’s revolutionary solar wireless, low-power IP camera is equipped with an IR illuminator to ensure complete day/night functionality. By utilising a specifically designed IR illuminator that flashes five times per second, the MPT HeliosTM IR camera consumes less that 1/10th of the power of an industry standard IP camera and transmits data wirelessly up to 1/2 mile – all powered by solar energy. An embedded lithium ion battery powers the HeliosTM IR camera for up to five days on a single charge. The renowned ultra-low power functionality reduces the solar panel size to 1.2ft2, making the HeliosTM IR camera the most compact solar wireless IR solution on the market. The end user benefits from a smaller footprint due to the minimal solar panel, but most importantly the freedom to place cameras where they are needed without having to trench for data or power cables.
