Video Storage Solutions Showcased At ISC West 2017

BDT Products, a data storage automation original equipment manufacturer celebrating its 50th anniversary delivering quality engineered products, will highlight a video surveillance storage solution that utilizes low-cost LTO technology at this year’s ISC West. This video surveillance storage solution focuses on customers that have larger camera counts, implementing higher resolution levels, and/or needing longer-term retention. Typically, a storage challenge for such situations but BDT will share their expertise and technology with visitors to booth 30110 at ISC West 2017 expo in Las Vegas.

BDT will be demonstrating a Siemens Schille VMS incorporating the BDT Media Manager software and the SecuVault MultiStak storage library with LTO Digital Tape Technology. Customers will witness the lowest cost, longest term retention video storage approach available on the market.

BDT’s focus at this year’s ISC West expo will be to demonstrate the ability to store surveillance video with a more cost effective technology while sharing the technological capabilities so that other VMS software vendors can support this storage concept as well.

Also see how the SecuVault MultiStak Library can expand video storage up to 3.2-Petabytes of total capacity. And observe how all recorded video is readily accessible through the VMS client interface, no matter if the video is stored on spinning disc or LTO cartridge.

BDT will also showcase a selection of Securvision IP-cameras in the ISC West booth.

BDT was founded 1967 in Rottweil, Germany, as a quality manufacturer of input/output paper handling devices for the world’s leading laser printer and copier companies such as Hewlett Packard and Xerox. These automated machine handling devices lead BDT into designing and manufacturing data tape and optical cartridge jukeboxes for computer storage (electronic data archiving) environments as an OEM for such companies as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM, DELL and Fujitsu. BDT has global operations with approximately 75% market share of the less than 500 cartridge slot data tape library vertical through more than 1.1 million tape libraries shipped to date.
