Avigilon Corporation (TSX:AVO), a global leader in end-to-end security solutions, announced the addition of Dr. Mahesh Saptharishi, senior vice president of analytics and data science, to the Company’s executive management team, effective immediately. Dr. Saptharishi will continue to report directly to Avigilon’s chief operating officer, Bryan Schmode.

Joining Avigilon in January 2014, following Avigilon’s acquisition of VideoIQ Inc., Dr. Saptharishi will lead the development of Avigilon’s analytics portfolio. Dr. Saptharishi has extensive experience creating intelligent video analytics solutions as well as in the development of software and camera hardware specifically for the security industry.

In his role, he is playing a key part in the integration of analytics technology into Avigilon’s product suite.
