Avigilon Promotes Engineering Leader And Expands Executive Team With Seasoned Experts In Key Departments

Avigilon Corporation (TSX:AVO), a leader in end-to-end surveillance solutions, announced the promotion of Danny Kam to executive vice president of engineering and the expansion of Avigilon’s executive team to include: Joel Schuster, vice president of legal and corporate secretary; Terry Neely, senior vice president of emerging technology; and Angela Baldonero, vice president of people, formerly known as the human resources department.

Mr. Kam, Mr. Schuster, Mr. Neely and Ms. Baldonero will report directly to Mr. Fernandes. Danny Kam, executive vice president of engineering joining Avigilon in January 2013, has been instrumental in the successful execution of Avigilon’s product roadmap and the expansion and development of its engineering team to support the company’s global growth.

Highlights of projects completed under Mr. Kam’s leadership include: the launch the Avigilon Control Center 5.0 software, Avigilon’s high-definition cameras with LightCatcher technology, and the HD Micro Dome camera. Over the past year, Mr. Kam doubled the number of employees within the engineering department at Avigilon, implementing an effective and scalable structure with dedicated teams to support product innovation.
