Dahua Technology, a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products headquartered in Hangzhou, China has introduced two new vari-focal HDCVI cameras – 720p IR box camera HAC-HFW1100R-VF and IR dome HAC-HDBW1100R-VF, which further completes its HDCVI portfolio.

These two vari-focal HDCVI cameras output clear and crisp images 25/30 frame per second at 720p —their focal length reaches 2.7-12mm— allowing a more flexible monitoring view, which means one single camera can be adjusted for different target areas based on users’ needs. It only takes three steps to get in-focus adjustments set.

First: open the cover; second: loosen, rotate, and tighten the screws inside; and third: put the cover back.

This ease-of-use is quite favored among small-to-medium scaled application owners who, for example, run retail stores, SOHO, hotels or schools.

Ideal for organizations asking for high definition image quality while having budget concerns.

Meanwhile, the camera’s IR distance is up to 30 meters, providing excellent night monitoring performance thanks to smart IR algorithm, which features non-LDR (light-dependent resistor) technology.

This enables an intellectual algorithm to detect more accurately the timing of ICR filer switching on/off as well as adjusting the IR LEDs current for better visual effect under low-light scenarios.

The three-axis bracket design of the HAC-HFW1100R-VF box camera makes the camera 360-degree rotatable, eliminating dead angle monitoring.

Its IP66 rating protects the camera against water and dust and the IK10 rated dome can withstand vicious sabotage.

“HDCVI is picking up very promisingly and customers are expecting more,” said John Li, HDCVI Product Manager at Dahua Technology. “We take customers’ requests into consideration and integrate convenience and ease-of-use together; meanwhile, designers follow Bauhaus to make the product simple and sleek, which is very pleasing outside.”

“As is known, HDcctv Alliance launched analog HD standard ‘AT2.0’ on HDCVI basis, ensuring 100% plug-and-play remote control of any camera from any compliant DVR,” said Li. “AT2.0 is open and interpretable, collaborating with partners in the HDcctv Alliance to jointly accelerate the global migration to HD. We will further refine and complete the product line to 2k and 4k in the coming version.”
