Surveillance and Event Detection-INDIACom 2017

March 1, 2017 - March 3, 2017

Video Surveillance and Event Detection This special session seeks to bring together the latest original research on video surveillance algorithms and the detection of events in videos. With the latest imaging systems and high power computing, real-time automated monitoring of videos is possible. The aim is to extract significant information such as decoding the activity being performed in the video or detecting the occurrence of anomalous events in the video that significantly deviates from the normal behavior. Efficient video-surveillance algorithms need to be developed as an effective solution to automated surveillance problems. Session Themes • Activity recognition • Gait recognition • Event detection in videos • Object tracking • Video anomaly detection • Machine learning algorithms for video surveillance
