IPConfigure – Orchid Fusion and Orchid Core VMS 2.14.0 Released

IPConfigure announces the release of Orchid Fusion VMS version 2.14.0 and Orchid Core VMS 2.14.0, both available for download now.  Orchid Fusion Cloud customers will see their cloud sites updated to version 2.14.0 within the next five business days.

Orchid Core VMS 2.14.0

Orchid Core VMS 2.14.0 was released on September 23, 2020.  This release adds support for WebRTC in all major desktop and mobile web browsers, and also includes support for internationalization and localization.

New Features

  • WebRTC video now supported in Safari, Edge, Firefox, Mobile Chrome, and Mobile Safari.
  • Add support for multiple languages.
    • Translations to German, Spanish, French, and Portuguese are available now. See the Orchid Core VMS 2.14.0 Administrator Manual for details.
  • Add properties file option to disable the Generic RTSP camera driver.
  • Add properties file option to lock properties that may be configured on the Advanced Settings page.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix issue where camera PTZ would not respond to some touch screen devices.
  • Fix issue where some joysticks would cause camera PTZ to become unresponsive.
  • Improve the retry workflow when registering cameras.
  • Fix issue where the Advanced Editor page would reject values with commas.

Orchid Fusion VMS 2.14.0

Orchid Fusion VMS 2.14.0 was released on September 23, 2020.  This release adds support for WebRTC in all major desktop and mobile web browsers, and a new inactivity monitor for automatically logging out idle users.

New Features:

  • WebRTC video now supported in Safari, Edge, Firefox, Mobile Chrome, and Mobile Safari.
  • Orchid Fusion VMS can now automatically log out users that have become idle.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fix issue where a secure WebSocket incorrectly handled concurrent requests to close.
  • Fix issue where camera PTZ would not respond to some touch screen devices.
    Fix issue where some joysticks would cause camera PTZ to become unresponsive.
  • Fix issue where the EULA option on the Sign-in page would periodically fail to display.
  • Improve the retry workflow when registering cameras.
  • Fix issue where the Advanced Editor tab would reject values with commas.
  • Fix issue where the “Add Action” button would not properly display on the Notifications page.

API Changes:

  • Add new properties to the /about/config endpoint that modify web UI behavior:
    • player.low.bandwidth
    • inactivity.threshold.minutes
