MicroPower Technologies Inc., an award-winning provider of surveillance solutions optimized for rapid, cost-effective deployment, announced that its has been awarded the 2014 Golden Eagle award by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4).
The award, sponsored by SDM Magazine, was presented to MicroPower and its customer, American Airlines Center, for excellence in security deployments at sporting venues.
The Golden Eagle award recognizes excellence in the safety and security aspects of sports venues and honors the best project among all nominees each year.
This year’s honor was presented at the fifth annual National Sports Safety and Security Conference and Exhibition, held last week in Indianapolis.
The American Airlines Center project was selected for the award by nearly 400 attendees, who voted for the winner based on two finalist presentations.
“On behalf of SDM, I would like to congratulate MicroPower Technologies on its win of the second annual NCS4 Golden Eagle Award,” said Laura Stepanek, Editor, SDM. “The award recognizes excellence in the safety and security aspects of sports venues, honoring the best project among all nominees each year. The solar, wireless video surveillance solution that MicroPower and its integrator installed at American Airlines Center offers increased security and tighter control of business operations. Providing those kinds of benefits to an end-use facility in the world of sports is the essence of the Golden Eagle Award.”
