Omnitron Systems announced the launch of a new ultra-compact PoE Injector called the OmniConverter GPoE+/I.
The OmniConverter GPoE+/I are unmanaged gigabit Ethernet power injectors that extend link distances up to 200 meters and add Power-over-Ethernet over the UTP data cables, allowing for connections to remote PoE-powered devices such as Wi-Fi Access Points and IP Surveillance Cameras.
The OmniConverter GPoE+/I injectors feature one RJ-45 uplink port, and one RJ-45 downlink IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ port. Both ports support 10/100/1000Mbps data rates and can operate at asymmetrical rates.
OmniConverter PoE Injectors are plug-and-play devices that support auto-negotiation of data rates and duplex modes for simple in-line installation to instantly extend network distances. This facilitates the installation and troubleshooting by ensuring each link is operational.
GPoE+/I injector
The GPoE+/I injector automatically negotiates and delivers the power level required by a Powered Device (PD) partner. When a non-PoE device, such as a laptop, is connected to the PoE Injector for data only applications, no power is applied.
The OmniConverter PoE Injectors can be mounted to a Wall or DIN-Rail with an optional mounting clip. They can be powered with an external 100 to 240VAC power adapter or with a 2-Pin DC terminal connector.

OmniConverter PoE injectors are available in Commercial (0° to 50°C), Wide (-40° to 60°C) and Extended (-40° to 75°C) operating temperature range models.
