PSIA Shows Commercial Agent and Adapters for PLAI Demo at ISC West 2019

PSIA successfully demonstrated interoperability between five vendors, with its PLAI specification, at ISC West 2019. The flawless demonstration showed commercial versions of PLAI in Johnson Controls, Software House (C•CURE 9000) and Lenel/S2 (OnGuard) systems. Three biometric vendors, EyeLock, Idemia, and Princeton Identity, and all were able to share credentials across the five systems via the PLAI Agent, a commercial version which is now available from Cruatech.

Boon Edam Helps Create Modern Access Control System at Colombian University

With over 28,000 visitors entering the premises each day, the University of Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia, is one of the largest education institutions in the country. Such a high volume of visitors requires strict control of who can and cannot enter the institution. To achieve such a level of management, the security staff decided to install four Boon Edam Trilock-75 turnstiles at each of the six entrances to the campus as an integral component of a new integrated security system.
