The new terminal combines multiple authentication technologies, including facial recognition, fingerprint biometrics, RFID, mobile credentials, QR codes, and PIN access into a single hardened security platform engineered for high-security entrances and corporate facilities.

BioStation 3 Max is designed around Suprema’s focus on trusted authentication and secure access management. The platform integrates a hardened Linux operating system with Secure Boot technology to ensure that only authenticated firmware can run on the device.
The terminal also features a CC EAL6+ certified secure element that protects credentials and cryptographic keys at the hardware level. Additional security measures include encrypted biometric templates, TLS-secured communications, and active tamper detection alerts.
For privacy-sensitive deployments, Suprema supports Template-on-Mobile and Template-on-Card configurations, enabling biometric data storage directly on personal devices or smart cards instead of centralized servers.
AI-Powered Authentication Performance
Powered by Suprema’s latest AI engine and dedicated neural processing unit (NPU), BioStation 3 Max can perform face matching in under 0.3 seconds, including for users in motion.
The terminal uses dual 2MP visual and infrared cameras to provide liveness detection and anti-spoofing capabilities against printed photos, replay attacks, and 3D mask attempts.
According to Suprema, the system can accurately authenticate users wearing sunglasses or masks while adapting to varying lighting conditions and viewing angles. The platform supports enrollment for up to 100,000 users.
Large Touchscreen And Integrated Intercom
BioStation 3 Max includes a 7-inch IPS touchscreen that delivers authentication guidance, face positioning prompts, and customizable messaging.
The device also integrates a built-in VoIP intercom with SIP support, allowing visitors to communicate directly with reception or security personnel at attended entrances.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor installations, the terminal carries IP65 and IK06 ratings for protection against dust, water, and impact. It also supports speed-gate and wall-mounted deployment configurations, with PoE+ support available on select models.
