New Passive PoE Module Powers Non-Standard PoE Devices
Transition Networks announced a new accessory that adds even more flexibility to its Self-Enclosed Managed Hardened Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ Switch (SESPM). The new Passive PoE Module supports devices that require 24VDC power and do not follow IEEE PoE standards. The SESPM is an all-in-one solution used to simplify the connection and powering of outdoor devices such as security and surveillance cameras, wireless access points, IoT sensors, and more.
Transition Networks Debuts PCIe 10 Gigabit Ethernet Fiber NIC Optimized for Data Centers
Transition Networks released its PCIe 10 Gigabit Ethernet Fiber Network Interface Card supporting faster transfer speeds of up to eight Giga Transfers per second (GT/s) for servers or high-powered work stations. Increased data and video traffic resulting from remote work and other factors during the COVID-19 pandemic has driven communication between data centers and the cloud to an all-time high. Overwhelming traffic affects available data center bandwidth, but the 10 Gigabit NIC provides relief in several ways.
First to Market: Full PoE+ on all 48 Ports, Transition Networks Launches Switch Designed for Large Security Camera Networks
Transition Networks announced its high-density 48-Port Managed Gigabit PoE+ Switch that offers 176 Gbps switching capacity. The switch is ideal for use in networks that need extensive connectivity for high-resolution IP cameras, wireless access points or VoIP phones. The switch will be on display at the BICSI Winter Conference in Tampa, FL. When equipped with dual power supplies, the switch can provide a total of 1640 Watts of power for 30 Watts to all 48 ports simultaneously.
New Transition Networks 8-port Hardened PoE++ Switch At ISC East Conference
Transition Networks announced a new eight-port, fully managed Power-over-Ethernet ++ (PoE++) switch (SISPM1040-582-LRT) designed for connecting and powering internet of things (IoT) devices in harsh or outdoor environments. Transition Networks will debut the new switch at the International Security Conference & Exposition, known as ISC East. The switch is one of the first to be introduced that supports the new IEEE 802.3bt standard for PoE++, which was ratified in late September.
Transition Networks Brings PoE Security Expertise To GSX
Transition Networks announced it will showcase its Self-Enclosed, Managed Hardened Gigabit Ethernet Power-over-Ethernet ++ (PoE++) Switch at the Global Security Exchange (GSX) event. New Switch Features Wireless Capabilities to Ease Installation of Security Surveillance Networks. The switch is optimized for easy set-up and maintenance of outdoor security camera networks through the inclusion of a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio for remote access to the switch and near-field communication (NFC) for mass pre-configuration of switches prior to powering up or connecting the switches.
