Security Professionals Overcome the Challenges of COVID-19

In what has become an annual event spearheaded by Mission 500, students at Crosspointe Elementary School in Boynton Beach, Florida will once again have essential school supplies, provided by COPS Monitoring thanks to the generous efforts of the “Back to School Backpack Event.” Rather than meeting in-person to assemble the backpacks and distributing them directly to the students at Crosspointe Elementary School, the school supplies, bags, and positive mental health items were shipped to the school so that teachers can sort the items and distribute them safely.

Mission 500 Service Trip To Ponce, Puerto Rico Brings Assistance To Families In Need

Mission 500 recently hosted a service trip in Ponce, Puerto Rico where volunteers from the professional security industry worked on repairing the homes of two families still suffering from the effects of hurricane Maria which caused $92 billion in damage in October of 2017. Volunteers spent several days repairing roofs, siding and plumbing; installing new windows; and removing trees capable of causing additional damage to the affected structures.

Save The Date For Mission 500 Annual Softball Game

Mission 500 has announced that its fourth annual security industry softball game fundraiser will take place on Sunday, August 26, 2018. This year’s event will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Overpeck County Park, located at 199 Challenger Road in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Sponsorships are available between $500 and $5,000. Companies contributing over $1,500 will have the option to designate one or two players to a team.

Mission 500 Raises $113,000 For Children In Need At ISC West 2018

Mission 500, a charitable organization that works closely with the security industry to serve children in need in the U.S., raised $113,000 at its ninth annual Security 5K/2K Run/Walk and related sponsorships at this year’s ISC West. Proceeds from the event will benefit children in need in the U.S., with a portion donated to a project in Puerto Rico which benefits children living in poverty who have been affected by Hurricane Maria. While at ISC West, attendees assembled Mission 500 Care Packs for 500 children in need living in Las Vegas. This initiative was generously sponsored by HID Global.
