i-PRO announced a revolutionary new line of cameras that turn non-AI network cameras into AI smart devices. Using AI onsite learning, the new X Series enables users to teach the camera about specific objects they want to monitor. With support for up to nine AI applications, it is the most powerful AI camera to date from i-PRO.
i-PRO shared its top five predictions for the physical security industry in 2023. 2023 will see significant adoption of AI-based analytics in cameras and video management systems (VMS) as more manufacturers provide this feature within their standard camera lines. There are simply too many camera streams for humans to monitor effectively, so AI-based analytics will be a catalyst that enables security departments to do more with less. This evolution will drive a significant shift in stance for physical security by enabling organizations to become more proactive in response to real-time events instead of reacting to past events. In 2023 focus will shift from capturing video to gathering data. The challenge will be in how effectively organizations are able to utilize this data not only for security, but also for cross-departmental operations to increase efficiencies and revenue.
i-PRO announced the latest version of its Active Guard plug-in. The AI-based plug-in can turn video management systems (VMS) into powerful search engines capable of real-time searches or deep forensic analysis. Already supported by leading VMSs including Genetec Security Center and i-PRO Video Insight, the latest version now adds support for Milestone Systems’ X-Protect and i-PRO’s ASM300 software, and features the industry’s largest number of search attributes and new UI enhancements.
Manifesting the company’s ambitious growth plans since it became independent from Panasonic, i-PRO Co., Ltd., announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art global headquarters in Tokyo. At the same time, the global leader in professional security solutions for surveillance and public safety is also relocating and expanding its R&D center in Fukuoka.
