This technology roundtable will discuss viable video surveillance storage techniques and how VMS software vendors could enable the utilization of time-tested storage technologies. An industry that mimics the video surveillance market, Hollywood’s Media and Entertainment industry, has been using these types of video storage technologies for over a decade. Unfortunately, the video surveillance industry seems intent on learning things the hard way and has yet to embrace such long-term, viable, low-cost, storage platforms.
