TrakLok® International LLC, a cargo security firm specializing in trailer and container security, announced that it has upgraded its Application Programing Interface (API) to allow a seamless integration with security integration and call monitoring companies.
The company has also added new security features to its GeoLok and TrakLog cargo security platform.
The latest enhancements to the integrated lock, alarm, and tracking system further enable fleets to proactively protect cargo by improving monitoring and alerts for lock and latch status changes, enter and exit fences, and low battery issues.
In addition to text and email messages, these alarms and alerts can be transmitted to key partners via the API.
?Our engineering team continues to advance our security system based on our customers growing needs,? said Tom Mann, president of TrakLok. ?The layered approach of a robust locking solution, integrated sensor/alarm platform, wireless communications and GPS tracking system give us a solid base to continuously grow our feature set.?
The TrakLok alarm system provides coverage even when the driver/warehouse personnel are unavailable.
Alarm and alert notifications and GPS based location are sent via a wireless communication platform.
Other features of TrakLok include a geofencing system that prevents lock opening anywhere other than user-defined locations.
The reusable system can be moved to another trailer or cargo container in under 30 seconds.
TrakLok International LLC represents the coming together of a cargo security company and a wireless design firm to create a robust and intelligent cargo security device. Located in Knoxville, Tennessee, the TrakLok cargo security system includes: a hardened lock that withstands prying, cutting, or impact tools; an integrated alarm that sends alerts for unauthorized attempts to access cargo; and a GPS tracking system with a cloud-based Web portal that allows access to real-time information on location and cargo integrity.
