Uniview Technology announces the release of a new line 5MP StarView cameras in various housing styles and lens configurations. The new 5MP cameras use StarView illumination technology, redefining starlight with extremely low minimum illumination for crisp color images.

Uniview tec’s new 5MP StarView camera line offers brilliant 2592 x 1944 resolution video with H.265 compression, TRUE Day/Night and Wide Dynamic Range, and impressive color video illumination.

Starting with an OmniVision 1/2.7” backside illumination technology CMOS sensor, add to that H.265 DSP (Digital Signal Processing) from Hisilicon, and set the lens iris at a constant F1.2, enables vivid and virtual smear-free 5MP color video images up to 0.001 Lux.

The 5MP StarView cameras are available in vari-focal and fixed lens models, with each lens configuration available in bullet, turret and vandal dome housings.

The vari-focal lens is a customized motorized, auto-focus lens, with a focal length of 5X, from 2.7 to 13.5mm, while the fixed lens models are offered in wide angle 2.8mm or 4mm versions.

All uniview tec 5MP StarView camera housings are IP67 weather-resistant rated for harsh environmental conditions, with the vandal domes also featuring the IK10 impact resistant rating.

A powerful, smart IR LED light that automatically adjusts the intensity to avoid over-exposure, provides black/white video illumination coverage up to almost 100ft, with the motorized vari-focal bullet model offering coverage to about 165ft

Additional features include Video Content Analysis (Analytics) such as Behavior, Exception, Identification and Statistical; Cloud Upgrades with connection to a univew tec NVR; Automatic Network Replenishment (ANR) with a Micro-SD card; PoE power back up in case of DC power loss; and many more.
