ZeroEyes Partners with RapidSOS to Immediately Inform 911 When Weapons Are Detected

ZeroEyes RapidSOS

ZeroEyes announced partnership with RapidSOS to send threat detection and surveillance data directly to 911. Built in partnership with public safety, RapidSOS’s emergency response data platform securely and automatically links life-saving data from connected devices directly to over 4,700 emergency communications centers nationwide.

ZeroEyes’ software integrates with an organization’s existing camera systems and video analytics to detect weapons in real time. As soon as a visible weapon is detected, an alert with the image of the weapon goes to the ZeroEyes monitoring team.

Once confirmed, an alert is sent to a local emergency dispatch, onsite security staff, police and school administrators via mobile and desktop. Through the RapidSOS emergency response data platform, real-time data will be sent directly to 911 personnel when a threat occurs, helping to speed the response process.

Since 2009, at least 177 of America’s schools have experienced a shooting, with 114 people killed and 242 injured in shootings at K-12 schools through 2018. In these types of critical emergencies, seconds mean the difference between life and death.

The detection of such threats before gunfire or attacks begin can reduce the response times of law enforcement and provide timely and clear information, ultimately saving lives.

“Our mission is to ensure no one has to experience a traumatizing active shooter threat, especially our children,” said Mike Lahiff, CEO and co-founder at ZeroEyes.

“With this partnership RapidSOS, we will be able to greatly reduce emergency response times and deliver better situational awareness to ensure the safety of the public.”

According to Viyas Sundaram, General Manager at RapidSOS, “We are excited to partner with ZeroEyes to bring this critical data directly onto 911 screens. This technology will give telecommunicators more visibility into what is occurring, helping inform the actions they take to get the right first responders on scene as quickly as possible.”

With the launch of this solution this August, ZeroEyes’ technology will be certified as RapidSOS Ready – allowing critical data to be sent directly to local 911 agencies in an emergency through the RapidSOS platform.

ZeroEyes is an AI weapons detection platform that helps identify threats at first sight, integrating with existing IP security cameras to play one component of its overall security process, and provide security personnel and first responders with real-time information needed to keep people safe.

In partnership with public safety, RapidSOS has created the world’s first emergency response data platform that securely links life-saving data from 350M+ connected devices directly to 911 and first responders
