NICE Announces Agreement to Sell Its Physical Security Business Unit to Battery Ventures
NICE Systems has entered into an agreement to sell its Physical Security business unit to Battery Ventures, a technology investment firm, for a total consideration of up to $100 million, comprising of $85 million in cash and up to additional $15 million based on future performance.

Hexagon acquires Qognify from Battery Ventures, a global, technology-focused investment firm. Qognify was formed in 2015 when Battery Ventures acquired the physical security division of NICE Systems, thus creating a new brand in the market. In 2018, Qognify acquired On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. with its brands OnSSI and SeeTec, forming a leading global player in the physical security market. Qognify’s video management (VMS) and incident management (EIM) solutions are used by companies and organizations around the world to mitigate risk and reduce the impact of incidents related to security, safety and operations.
Qognify Completes Acquisition of On-Net Surveillance Systems
Qognify announced that it has completed the acquisition of On-Net Surveillance Systems (OnSSI), including the pioneer of IP video technology – SeeTec GmbH. Backed by the global investment firm Battery Ventures, Qognify announced the agreement on December 22, 2018 and the deal closed on December 28, 2018. With Qognify, OnSSI and SeeTec operating under one umbrella, the company is today one of the largest VMS, Video Analytics, PSIM and Critical Incident Management companies in the world.
