Antaira Launches Multi-Port PoE Surge Protectors

Antaira Technologies, a developer and manufacturer of industrial networking and communication solutions, has announced the immediate availability of its new LSP Series multi-port Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) surge protectors. Designed for industrial networks, the series protects connected PoE devices against lightning strikes, electrical surges, and transient voltage spikes.

The IP30-rated LSP Series supports DIN-rail or wall mounting and operates across temperatures from -40°F to 167°F (-40°C to 75°C), making it suitable for demanding industrial and outdoor environments.

“Our new LSP Series safeguards PoE devices up to 100W, ensuring operational continuity for the critical systems that depend on them,” said Joe Cook, General Manager, Antaira Technologies.

“As PoE power budgets continue to grow and network speeds of up to 10GbE become increasingly common, that level of protection isn’t optional anymore — it’s foundational.”

Multi-Port Protection For High-Power Networks

The LSP Series includes two configurations: the dual-port LSP-0200X-bt-100-T and four-port LSP-0400X-bt-100-T.

Both models provide 100W IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ pass-through per data line and support Ethernet speeds ranging from 10/100M through 10GbE.

The multi-port architecture can reduce the cost per protected port while simplifying installation compared with deploying individual surge protection devices. This makes the LSP Series suitable for larger deployments across utility facilities, warehouses, transportation hubs, and industrial plants.

The devices are engineered to absorb and redirect up to 10kA of surge energy away from connected PoE equipment, helping reduce the risk of equipment damage and network downtime following transient surge events.

Designed For Critical PoE Applications

The LSP Series is designed for PoE-connected infrastructure where network availability is critical. Applications include:

  • Security and surveillance: Outdoor IP cameras, perimeter security, parking facilities, campuses, and traffic intersections.
  • Intelligent transportation systems: Traffic cameras, LPR systems, roadside communications, and digital message signs.
  • Wireless networking: Outdoor Wi-Fi access points, wireless bridges, mesh nodes, and small-cell infrastructure.
  • Industrial automation: Ethernet switches, remote I/O cabinets, process monitoring, and SCADA networks.
  • Smart city infrastructure: Environmental sensors, smart lighting controllers, emergency call boxes, and IoT gateways.
  • Building automation: PoE access control systems, intercoms, IP speakers, and building management devices.
  • Energy and utilities: Substation communications, solar monitoring, EV charging communications, and remote telemetry.
  • Transportation hubs: Airports, seaports, rail stations, and transit facilities.

The LSP Series extends Antaira’s portfolio of rugged networking technologies designed for demanding PoE deployments. Its combination of high-power PoE++ pass-through, 10GbE support, multi-port protection, and extended-temperature operation addresses the growing requirements of modern industrial networks.

Antaira Technologies develops and manufactures industrial networking and communication solutions for mission-critical applications. Since 2005, the company has offered industrial Ethernet switches, wireless devices, Ethernet media converters, and serial communication products designed for reliable operation in demanding environments.

Its solutions support markets including automation, transportation, security, oil and gas, power and utilities, and medical applications. Antaira Technologies is ISO 9001 certified.
