State and local officials will join L3Harris Technologies, FirstNet® Built with AT&T and the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) at the Florida Highway Patrol Office in Miami to celebrate the next-generation of public safety communications through the Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERS). For two decades, L3Harris has successfully managed and operated SLERS, which has reliably provided first responders with critical communications services – through 15 hurricanes and more than 10 tropical storms.

SONITROL announced that its SONITROL franchisee in Evansville, Indiana was instrumental in securing the apprehension of six crime ring members known to be in the business of stealing motorcycles. Over a holiday weekend last year, a SONITROL of Evansville Central Station Operator received an audible alarm from a local Harley-Davidson store; the Operator quickly confirmed there were intruders on site. After dispatching law enforcement, six people were apprehended, who had unlawfully entered the building with the intention to steal valuable motorcycles.
