Bosch Security Systems, Inc. introduces the enhanced FLEXIDOME IP micro 2000 and 5000 cameras with a new three-axis lens adjustment feature, which allows installers to pan, tilt, and rotate the lens. This capability gives installers more options for camera placement, allowing easy mounting of the cameras on a wall or ceiling, while maintaining a precise field of view.

FLEXIDOME IP micro 5000 cameras deliver high-performance technology for a wide range of typical surveillance needs.

These outdoor domes are IP66-rated for protection in wet environments, are available in 1080p high definition (HD) or 5-megapixel resolutions to cater to varying image detail requirements and feature a wide angle lens for an extended monitoring range.

A special version is also designed for interior vehicle mounting for use in transportation applications, such as trains, buses, and subways.

The affordable FLEXIDOME IP micro 2000 cameras deliver professional security for small businesses with 720p HD or standard definition resolution for indoor areas with stable lighting.

The cameras support built-in MicroSD card storage, include a Dropbox application for remote storage of recorded activity and come with the free Bosch Video Client (BVC) viewing software.

This provides a complete networked video system for small- and medium-sized installations, such as an office or retail store.

When used with Bosch DIVAR IP recording solutions or a Bosch VIDEOJET transcoder, Dynamic Transcoding technology in combination with the Video Security app makes it possible to view both smooth live video streaming and provide instant access to HD (1080p) images when needed on mobile devices, regardless of available bandwidth.

It also allows access to camera controls and instant retrieval of the correct video data from hours of recorded material via a mobile device anytime and from anywhere.

Lower storage costs and network strain
To reduce storage costs and network strain the FLEXIDOME IP micro 2000 and 5000 cameras feature intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction (iDNR).

The benefit of this technology is that it leads to bandwidth only being used when needed.

When there is little or no movement in the scene, less bitrate is required.

Therefore, iDNR actively analyzes the scene, distinguishing between relevant information, such as moving objects, and image noise artifacts.

The degree of noise reduction is adjusted accordingly so that important objects are captured and image noise artifacts suppressed, optimizing the camera?s bitrate.

Thus, iDNR saves up to 50 percent on bitrate and hence storage and network strain are significantly reduced without compromising video quality.

Bosch IP standard-definition and high-definition cameras, encoders and analytics work seamlessly with a wide range of security software and recording solutions from Bosch and many other industry providers.

This is backed by ONVIF conformance (Open Network Video Interface Forum) and the Integration Partner Program (IPP), which gives developers immediate access to software development tools to easily integrate Bosch products with third-party systems.
