New Features For Wavestore V5.40 VMS

Wavestore has released V5.40, the latest version of its highly acclaimed VMS software. V5.40 incorporates a number of new features as well as improvements to some existing features, all of which have come about as a result of feedback from customers.

“One of Wavestore’s key strengths is that we have established an excellent rapport with installers and systems integrators around the world,” said Chris Williams, Director of Wavestore. “As a result we are able to closely keep in touch with rapidly changing market demands and when required, our software development team is able to react quickly to upgrade or add to the long list of innovative features included on our VMS.”

Many of the technical advances incorporated into V5.40 are intended to progress Wavestore’s compliance with ONVIF Profile G. Among the upgraded features is a metadata option which has been added to the existing wide range of search facilities. This reflects Wavestore’s support of a wide range of video analytics and event alarm functions as part of an integrated video surveillance solution.

The metadata search facility can however be applied to any application that generates an alarm event. The maximum number of cameras which can now be connected to a single Wavestore server has been increased to 192 which can be a combination of up to 128 IP-cameras and up to 64 analogue cameras. […]
