Secure Logiq Appoints New Technical Support Engineer

Secure Logiq has appointed Patrick Furby as Technical Support Engineer Level 2, strengthening its global support capabilities as the company continues to expand internationally.

Patrick brings extensive experience in IT support, having worked with global organisations across multiple sectors. His strong technical expertise and customer-focused approach are expected to further enhance Secure Logiq’s ability to deliver high-performance support services to partners and end users worldwide.

Originally from South Africa, Patrick recently relocated to the UK. A passionate supporter of the South Africa national rugby union team, he also shares a strong interest in motorsport—something he has in common with Secure Logiq Joint Managing Director Hamish Johnson.

Patrick has an impressive history in motorsport technology. He played a pioneering role in modernising Motorsport South Africa’s timing and results infrastructure. In 1994, he led the transition from manual stopwatch-based lap timing to an RFID-based system, significantly improving race operations nationwide.

He later managed national motorsport results systems into the early 2000s and went on to serve as a race director, overseeing several national series events. His involvement extended to developing motorsport control systems in Zimbabwe until 2019.

Reflecting on his experience, Patrick said:

“It was great fun – I even had the opportunity to race a few events myself. I was also involved in developing Zimbabwe motorsport control up to 2019, so I got to travel and meet some great people along the way.”

Franck Martinaux, Director of Global Services & Innovation at Secure Logiq, welcomed the appointment:

“Patrick brings the strength of experience combined with unbeatable customer-centric behaviour. He is part of the elite, and I’m proud to have him on my team.”
