Fujitsu Frontech North America, along with smplsolutions, has announced the installation of Fujitsu’s PalmEntry access control system at the Kay Family Foundation Innovation Lab at UC Irvine’s Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences.
“We are delighted that the Bren School has selected the PalmEntry physical access control system for their physical access control solution for such a prestigious and visible location,” Randy Fox, senior director, currency handling and identification product solutions, Fujitsu Frontech North America said. “The value-added services provided by our installation partner, smplsolutions, will ensure that the Bren School gets the most out of their investment.”
The PalmEntry system is a physical access control system that reads the unique palm vein pattern of users’ hands using a near-infrared sensor. This system has been installed in many school settings, as it doesn’t require any physical touch, which makes disease transmission less likely.
