Suprema, showcased its latest innovations in biometric hardware and access control platforms at Intersec 2026. The company also presented a clear dual-platform strategy for both on-premise and cloud access management.
Already established as a leader in the Middle East, Suprema’s new technologies are designed to accelerate expansion across the region and neighboring markets.
Suprema’s Intersec booth highlighted a new generation of AI-enhanced access control devices built to improve performance, accuracy, and large-scale deployment flexibility.
BioStation 3 Max: Flagship Facial Authentication
BioStation 3 Max builds on the success of BioStation 3, Suprema’s fastest-selling biometric terminal to date. Designed for high-security, high-traffic environments, the device features an enhanced neural processing engine delivering ultra-fast, highly accurate AI-based facial authentication, even in demanding conditions.
With a large touchscreen display and integrated VoIP intercom, BioStation 3 Max supports verification workflows at sensitive entry points such as corporate headquarters, data centers, and manufacturing facilities.
BioStation 3 Max becomes Suprema’s new flagship facial authentication terminal, replacing FaceStation F2. It also introduces Power over Ethernet (PoE), a frequently requested feature in the Middle East, simplifying installation while reducing infrastructure and deployment costs.
XPass Q2: High-Speed QR And RFID Access
XPass Q2 is an intelligent QR reader that also supports a wide range of RFID card types and formats. It addresses two primary use cases.
First, XPass Q2 accelerates access in high-traffic facilities where visitors authenticate using QR codes, reducing congestion at entry points. Second, it enables fast and reliable ticket authentication for venues such as events, stadiums, and public facilities.
Built for speed, XPass Q2 performs rapid authentication to minimize bottlenecks during peak entry times. Its compact design allows for fast deployment, while its rugged construction ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.
Dual Access Control Platforms Previewed
For the first time at Intersec, Suprema previewed two complete access control platforms designed to unlock the full power of its biometric technology. Both platforms are scheduled for official launch in the first half of 2026.
BioStar X delivers a unified on-premise solution, while BioStar Air is a cloud-native platform for distributed sites. Both support the same biometric, RFID, and mobile-ready hardware, allowing customers to choose the deployment model that best aligns with operational, regulatory, and IT requirements.
BioStar X: Unified On-Premise Security
BioStar X is Suprema’s unified security platform, combining access control, video surveillance, and extensive integration capabilities within a single system. It scales from small installations to large enterprises while delivering consistent performance with Suprema’s biometric readers.
A unified monitoring console provides real-time visibility into access events and video streams through interactive maps, accelerating incident response and improving operational efficiency. AI-based enhancements enable advanced automation, including detection of fall incidents, tailgating, and intrusion.
BioStar Air: Cloud-Native Access Control
BioStar Air is a fully cloud-native access control platform that connects Suprema’s biometric technology directly to the cloud, eliminating the need for on-premise servers. Adding new readers at multiple locations requires only a network connection.
For customers in the Gulf region, BioStar Air increases trust in cloud-based time and attendance systems by seamlessly integrating biometric access control. It also includes secure mobile credentials as a standard feature, with no per-user licensing fees, enabling scalable deployments without hidden costs.
AI Video Analytics With Q-Vision Pro
Suprema also highlighted Q-Vision Pro, a video analytics AI module designed to help prevent financial crime by adding advanced intelligence to video surveillance systems.
“We introduced our latest technologies at Intersec because the Middle East consistently leads the adoption of biometrics, AI, and mobile access,” said Hanchul Kim, CEO of Suprema Inc.
“Those trends align directly with Suprema’s strengths, making this region a natural showcase for where access control is heading next.”
Suprema is a global leader in AI-powered biometric access control and identity authentication. The company designs and manufactures facial recognition, fingerprint, and mobile credential technologies used in enterprise, government, and critical infrastructure worldwide. With a strong focus on innovation, performance, and scalable architecture, Suprema delivers both on-premise and cloud-based security platforms that enable organizations to modernize access control with accuracy, flexibility, and reliability.
