Aimetis Symphony provides the airport with a single platform for upgrading the existing CCTV system to operate over an IP network, and a scalable system to easily add new network cameras to the airport as needed. The system is also the largest installation in the region using the latest technology in edge-storage capabilities available in network cameras from Axis Communications . Aimetis partnered with Redisul, a Brazilian system integration company that provided the system installation and project management to deliver a turnkey solution for one of the largest network video management projects in Brazil. Initially, Brasilia Airport will install Aimetis Symphony to 1,000 new and existing analog and IP cameras, with approximately 20% of cameras running Aimetis video analytics. The number of cameras is estimated to increase to 5,000 as the airport grows and expands. Brasilia International Airport is the third largest airport in Brazil, handling over 15 million passengers annually. The airport is operated by INFRAMERICA, the largest private airport operator in Brazil. As the nation’s capital, Brasilia is home to many Federal agencies and international organizations. The metropolitan population of the city is over 3.7 million, making it the fourth largest city in the country. Brasilia is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site for Culture and Humanity.
