Following the same curriculum as Vicon’s popular in-person training program, the new online class provides in-depth instruction on all aspects of Valerus, from setup and programming to operational capabilities and special features. Coursework includes hands-on learning and exercises that make use of the actual Valerus software.
Vicon Industries announced the release of VAX Access Control, version 2.9.60. This latest VAX version includes powerful feature enhancements to software as well as new hardware options that offer cost savings and programming flexibility. VAX now offers a Master Multi-Door Controller for 2 to 8 doors. Video captured by these cameras allows users to take advantage of the full display potential of today’s 4K monitors and provides incredible detail without pixilation when zooming into recorded video for investigative purposes.
Vicon announces the launch of a new line of 180-degree ultra-high-definition multi-sensor cameras. Designed for providing highly detailed coverage of expansive areas, such as airports, perimeter security and city surveillance, the new V1000 line is compatible with many industry leading VMS solutions, including Vicon’s Valerus and ViconNet, and does not require video dewarping by VMS software in order to display an undistorted panoramic image. The V1000 models are fixed camera domes containing four separate camera modules that work together to deliver a seamless 180-degree view. Video can be monitored as a single horizontal image as well as separate quadrants.
Vicon Industries announced that The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, the largest Cathedral and fifth largest church building in the world, recently completed installation of a Vicon Valerus video management system to secure the Cathedral and surrounding 11.3 acre complex in Manhattan. As the seat of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, the Cathedral is the site of daily religious services, community programing and social outreach. Vicon Industries announced today that implementation of its end-to-end Valerus video management system at the Greek American Institute (GAI) in Bronx, NY has been completed. The installation was performed by the Long Island office of ITsavvy, a Chicago-based IT products and technology solutions provider. The new Vicon Valerus system encompasses the entire property, which includes the oldest continuously run Greek Orthodox School in the United States and the adjacent Church of Zoodohos Peghe and community center.
Vicon Industries has introduced a new 3MP version of its heavy-duty Roughneck V-CELL-HD-B camera, specially designed for use in custodial suites and prison cells. This ONVIF compliant camera features stainless steel assembly, security screws and polycarbonate windows that protect the camera and IR illuminators. Its unique triangular shape accommodates mounting at the juncture of two walls and the ceiling and, once installed, the camera should be permanently sealed to the wall to create a ligature-proof and water-resistant housing.
Vicon introduces the V800D Series of H.265 indoor domes, including 2 MP and 4MP models. The new camera models are available with a choice of fixed or motorized varifocal autoiris lens and include IR illuminators for viewing in all lighting conditions. True Wide Dynamic Range (T-WDR) further improves picture quality by balancing high contrast between bright and dark areas, including difficult-to-see spaces with backlit lighting. Cameras are designed for easy installation and mounting on walls or ceilings.
Vicon introduced the new Cruiser SN673V-C outdoor PTZ dome, which combines a 1080p day/night H.265 camera with 23X optical zoom. Featuring 360o continuous rotation and full -5o to 90o tilt range, this powerful dome can provide coverage in all directions with superb image quality and sensitivity and offers several enhancements over earlier models. This latest Cruiser model offers synchronized IR illuminators that support distances of up to 196 feet.
Vicon Industries announced the expansion of its U.S. Sales team, with the addition of Kirk Schatzle, who will serve as the Regional Sales Manager for Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, North Dakota and South Dakota.
