Vicon Introduces Smartphone Credentialing For Its VAX Access Control System

Vicon Industries brings a new level of convenience and simplicity to its VAX Access Control solution with today’s introduction of mobile credentialing. This new feature allows VAX customers to present their smartphones, instead of cards or fobs, to specialized Bluetooth-enabled VAX door readers. Upon installation of a custom smartphone “wallet” app and a simple authentication process that links that app to the specific phone, users enter their personal VAX credentials into the wallet. Multiple credentials can be accommodated.

Vicon’s V1000 Series Multi-Sensor Cameras Provides Panoramic View Without Distortion

Vicon announces the launch of a new line of 180-degree ultra-high-definition multi-sensor cameras. Designed for providing highly detailed coverage of expansive areas, such as airports, perimeter security and city surveillance, the new V1000 line is compatible with many industry leading VMS solutions, including Vicon’s Valerus and ViconNet, and does not require video dewarping by VMS software in order to display an undistorted panoramic image. The V1000 models are fixed camera domes containing four separate camera modules that work together to deliver a seamless 180-degree view. NYC’s Greek American Institute Secures Its Facilities With New Vicon System

Vicon Industries announced today that implementation of its end-to-end Valerus video management system at the Greek American Institute (GAI) in Bronx, NY has been completed. The installation was performed by the Long Island office of ITsavvy, a Chicago-based IT products and technology solutions provider. Vicon’s 3 MP Cell Camera Provides New High-Resolution Option For The Corrections Market

Vicon Industries has introduced a new 3MP version of its heavy-duty Roughneck V-CELL-HD-B camera, specially designed for use in custodial suites and prison cells.
