Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System Connects More Than 11,000 Florida First Responders
State and local officials will join L3Harris Technologies, FirstNet® Built with AT&T and the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) at the Florida Highway Patrol Office in Miami to celebrate the next-generation of public safety communications through the Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERS). For two decades, L3Harris has successfully managed and operated SLERS, which has reliably provided first responders with critical communications services – through 15 hurricanes and more than 10 tropical storms.
Leidos to Acquire L3Harris Technologies’ Security Detection and Automation businesses
Leidos Holdings entered into a definitive agreement to acquire L3Harris Technologies’ Security Detection and Automation businesses, for $1 billion in cash. The Boards of Directors of both companies unanimously approved the transaction. L3Harris’ Security Detection and Automation businesses provide airport and critical infrastructure screening products, automated tray return systems and other industrial automation products.
