Video Analytics Packages From RIVA

video analytics

The acronym RIVA, stands for "Realtime Intelligent Video Analytics" an intelligent 3D-video analytic system which is already integrated in all RIVA cameras and encoders as a standard feature at no extra cost. The basic version VCA Presence continually tracks moving and stationary objects and persons in predefined detection zones and generates real-time alerts.

Up to 40 different zones per image can be set. Furthermore, camera tampering (covering, bagging, defocusing) can be detected. A self-learning algorithm ignores repetitive movements like moving trees or rippling water.

Thus, false alarms are reduced to an absolute minimum. The company also offers various other VCA packages that can be purchased separately as an add on feature, such as, VCA Count, which is a special counting module with a bi-directional line-crossing filter suitable for people counting in busy doorways and entrances.

As a special feature shoulder widths can be entered to improve the counting accuracy. It is also ideally suitable for counting vehicles.

This module is used for example to count customers in retail stores or to monitor traffic flows. The VCA Detect module was specially developed for perimeter protection. It includes object classification as well as direction-, speed- and dwell filters.

That means objects (persons, vehicles, animals) are differentiated and their heights as well as their speeds are detected.

The analytics recognises in which direction an object moves or how long it dwells at a specific point. If a more detailed perimeter protection is needed, the VCA Surveillance package is an alternative solution.
