Dedrone announced the launch of DedroneBeyond, its solution to enable drone operations to fly beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) for state, local, territorial and tribal (SLTT) law enforcement and emergency services when deploying drone as first responders (DFR). Currently in active testing programs in Michigan and Alabama, DedroneBeyond safely enables drones to fly without the need for human visual observers.

Dedrone announced its acquisition of Aerial Armor, a leader in counterdrone systems and integrator of drone detection hardware. The acquisition will enable Dedrone to deliver the best-in-class technology platform to meet airspace security needs of the future as demand for counterdrone protections continues to increase in the US and around the world. As part of the acquisition, Dedrone will honor all Aerial Armor customer contracts and retain all employees, including CEO Russ Haugan and CTO Matt Altman. Customers of each company will continue with no changes to their solutions in the near term.
Dedrone announced that it has formed a partnership with Axis Communications to incorporate Axis network cameras into Dedrone’s counterdrone command and control (C2) platform, DedroneTracker. Dedrone announced the launch of DedronePortable, an all-in-one kit that offers comprehensive drone detection, tracking, and identification capabilities (DTI) on-the-go. In use by multiple militaries, government agencies and commercial entities around the world, DedronePortable offers Dedrone’s sophisticated machine learning technology and end-to-end defeat capabilities via a system that can be set-up, in the field, in less than 20 minutes. Dedrone announced it partnered with Threat Management Group (TMG) to provide airspace security for South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) during the popular Cooper River Bridge Run. Due to the pandemic, the annual race was held twice within a six-month period, in September 2021 and again in April 2022. SLED utilized Dedrone technology to secure the airspace for runners and spectators during both events.

Dedrone announced the launch of its first portable detection unit, DedroneRapidResponse. Dedrone detects, identifies, locates and analyzes nearly 300 drone types. The new solution offers Dedrone’s AI-powered technology in a mobile platform attached to a tower, anywhere from 30-50’ high, that can be easily towed and maneuvered on a trailer using an SUV or truck.
