Semtech Corporation has joined the Z-Wave Alliance Board of Directors, further strengthening the organization’s leadership in advancing Z-Wave® technology across residential, commercial, hospitality, and industrial markets.
The announcement highlights the Alliance’s continued expansion as a fully ratified standards development organization (SDO), bringing together leaders in IoT connectivity and smart device innovation.
As a provider of high-performance semiconductors for AI data center networking, IoT connectivity, and intelligent connected devices, Semtech will contribute silicon expertise and strategic insight to support standards development, certification programs, and ecosystem growth.
The addition of Semtech also marks the expansion of manufacturer choice within the Z-Wave ecosystem, becoming the third silicon provider participating in the Alliance.
Expanding The Z-Wave Ecosystem
Current Board of Directors members include companies such as ADT, Alarm.com, Assa Abloy, Johnson Controls, Silicon Labs, Trident IoT, and Vivint.
