The PSIA Approves Secure Credential Specification

The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance announced it has approved the Secure Credential Interoperability (SCI) 1.0 specification. The PSIA has been working with a broad group of industry leaders in the access control industry to come up with this specification, which is likely to have a significant influence on the future of secure mobile credentials. Mohammad Soleimani, the Chief Technology Officer of Kastle Systems and the Chairman of the SCI Work Group, introduced this concept to the organization in 2020.

The PSIA Elects Jason Ouellette, Johnson Controls and Ewa Pigna, LenelS2, as Officers

PSIA announced it has elected Jason Ouellette, as its Chairman and Ewa Pigna, the Chief Technology Officer for LenelS2, a part of Carrier Global Corporation, as its Vice-Chairman. In addition, Peter Boriskin, the Chief Technology Officer for ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas, will continue in his role as the organization’s treasurer. The PSIA membership develops specifications for enabling standards-based sharing of digital data and intelligence throughout the physical security and enterprise ecosystems.

Johnson Controls Introduces Cloud Support for its Enterprise Access Control and Event Management System

Johnson Controls announced that its flagship access control and event management system Tyco Software House C-CURE 9000 is supported on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), enabling customers to take advantage of the many benefits of cloud computing with the choice of best-suited service providers. With C-CURE 9000 deployable in the cloud, integrators and end users can leverage leading cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform.

PLAI Demo Features Biometrics at ISC West Demo

The PSIA will show continued momentum for its Physical-Logical Access interoperability (PLAI) spec at ISC West 2019. Biometrics, an important component of enterprise physical security systems, will also be featured in the demo. Princeton Identity has previously demonstrated its PLAI adapter and at ISC West 2019 we will be showing new adapters from EyeLock and IDEMIA. The demo will be held at the Venetian/Sands Expo Center – Sands Meeting Room 403.
