CurvePoint, a Carnegie Mellon spinout, has secured a seed round led by Reach Capital to scale its privacy-first Wi-AI platform, a Wi-Fi-based threat detection system designed to strengthen school safety. Wi-AI uses artificial intelligence to interpret how Wi-Fi signals interact with the physical environment, identifying subtle disruptions caused by people and objects to deliver real-time insight into weapons, occupancy, and movement.
