When I first stepped into the security and life safety world back in 1995, I didn’t come with a technical background. I came in with a drive to serve. At the time, the industry felt very hands-on, very local, and honestly, a bit fragmented. You had alarm systems that worked well enough, but there wasn’t the same level of integration, user experience, or customer support we expect today. And it certainly wasn’t an industry people were lining up to get into, it just wasn’t on most people’s radar.
