Dahua, the large Chinese IP-camera manufacturer, has taken to the sky in delivering an unmanned aerial vehicle —drone— to its offering of security oriented products. Dahua is looking to distinguish their drone as being an industry-level commercial device geared for public safety operations. This is a new direction for Dahua and one that has been undertaken by other IP-camera manufacturers. What distinguishes a Dahua Drone from other Civilian UAVs is the mission it is positioned for: to undertake safety from above. There are in fact two levels of drones, consumer-level and industry-level. Dahua Drones belong to the latter group.
Sherlock Connects GPS-Based Anti-Theft Device For Bicycles To Global IoT Network From Orange Business Services
Sherlock, an Internet of Things (IoT) bicycle security startup based in Turin, Italy, has signed a deal with Orange Business Services to support its global business with IoT connectivity and a management portal over the next three years. Sherlock will use Orange embedded SIM cards in its invisible IoT anti-theft solution for bicycles, which is currently being rolled out in Europe and North America. The aftermarket solution incorporates a small anti-theft device, which is designed to be hidden into the handlebars of any bicycle, and a mobile app.
