Transition Networks announced a new eight-port, fully managed Power-over-Ethernet ++ (PoE++) switch (SISPM1040-582-LRT) designed for connecting and powering internet of things (IoT) devices in harsh or outdoor environments. Transition Networks will debut the new switch at the International Security Conference & Exposition, known as ISC East. Omnitron Systems introduced the addition of high-power Power over Ethernet (HPoE) fiber switches to the industrial RuggedNet® and enterprise OmniConverter® product lines that enable fiber optic distance extension to HPoE powered devices.
