RecFaces Joins Milestone Marketplace: Id-Guard Ready-Made Facial Recognition Solution Integrated to XProtect, Enriching Video Management Software

RecFaces announced that its Id-Guard ready-made facial recognition software has been verified by Milestone Marketplace and has been successfully integrated into the Milestone XProtect video management software (VMS), empowering users to explore the various applications of video management systems.

Id-Guard is a high-accuracy facial recognition boxed solution developed for video surveillance and security systems.

It is able to handle more than a thousand real-time video streams simultaneously and is powered by one of the top-five algorithms based on the latest National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) results. Plugins are seamlessly integrated into the XProtect Smart Client interface, providing full-featured security operators with new biometric capabilities using their familiar interfaces.

Integration with Milestone XProtect is easy to install and provides instant information about detected and identified persons in the video management system, enabling to place identification cameras on maps to simplify an operational response to an incident and build a route for the movement of a person of interest. All requested reports, including those generated according to the schedule, are saved in the report storage for repeated sharing.

How Id-Guard works with Milestone XProtect

When securing any physical facility, receiving detected and identified alarms in real time can be extremely useful. If someone appearing on the video belongs to a specified watchlist detected by Id-Guard, a notification is instantly sent. The analyzed event sent to XProtect will also contain the information about the source of the event.

The solution automatically updates profiles to maintain high accuracy of identification. During a long period of operation, the solution considers age of a person and other changes in appearance, automatically updates the photos of user profiles by removing one of the outdated photos from the profile and replacing it with the current photo obtained by the system while providing a high level of data protection.

The simplicity of integration for end-clients and integrators lies in the absence of the need for programming and debugging. It is sufficient to perform a direct step-by-step installation and obtain ready-to-use facial recognition functions in video streams from cameras already connected to XProtect. Id-Guard automatically links identified individuals, events and timestamps, allowing users to easily view not only event photos but also video fragments from the XProtect recording archive based on a person’s face or profile name at any given moment. This reduces the workload on operators and minimizes the time required to analyze incidents from hours or days to just a few minutes.

“Thanks to the seamless integration of Id-Guard with XProtect, RecFaces can reach a global audience demanding a reliable face recognition software that optimizes business processes and improves day-to-day operations,” says Tamara Morozova, RecFaces’ Chief Executive Officer.

“With its capacity to process over a thousand cameras simultaneously, Id-Guard sets a new standard for efficiency and productivity in the physical security industry. Its advanced features, combined with the integration capabilities of XProtect, create a powerful synergy that unlocks unparalleled performance and compatibility, allowing integrators and end-users to benefit from its tracking options, precise accuracy and scaling possibilities.”
