Genetec Strengthens its Access Control Offering for the US Federal Market

Genetec announced that it is now offering multiple FICAM certified options for its Security Center Synergis™ access control system. In a market that has been traditionally weighed down by limited solutions that are often proprietary, these new options offer nonproprietary, open-architecture choices to efficiently validate Personal Identity verification for federal employees and contractors. Genetec offers two FICAM-certified options.

Lenel OnGuard System Approved For U.S. Federal Government Use

Lenel announced it has received U.S. federal government approval for its new LNL-4420 intelligent system controller with embedded authentication. Following rigorous security vulnerability and interoperability testing for Federal Identity, Credentialing and Access Management (FICAM) solutions program, Lenel’s LNL-4420 controller has been included on the General Services Administration’s Approved Product List. FICAM is a set of security disciplines designed to ensure federal systems and facilities are used by the right person, at the right time, for the right reason.

OnGuard Goes Cloud And Browser-based With Version 7.4

Lenel introduces its OnGuard® 7.4 security-management platform, which can be deployed in the cloud and accessed through a web browser on a mobile device or computer. OnGuard version 7.4 combines ease of use, mobility and simple upgrades. When deployed under an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) model, this latest version can reduce or eliminate the need for onsite OnGuard server hardware along with the need for multiple software installations and updates.

Tyco Security Products’ Innometriks Infinitas Receives GSA FICAM Approval

Tyco Security Products, part of Johnson Controls, announced that its Innometriks Cheetah high assurance physical access reader has achieved UL 294 certification and the complete Innometriks Infinitas FICAM solution is now listed on the General Services Administration (GSA) Approved Product List (APL). These are two important designations for government agencies that need to deploy a secure and interoperable access control solution for high security areas.

XTec Adds Over 100 Federal Agencies for HSPD-12 Smart Card Issuance

XTec Incorporated today announced that it was awarded the HSPD-12 Shared Service Provider contract by the General Services Administration. The award is to support the GSA Managed Service Office (MSO) that provides HSPD-12 credential enrollment, issuance, and management for more than 100 federal agencies under the USAccess program.
