New Orion Secure DoorGuard Tailgate Solution Combines High Accuracy, Versatility and Design
Orion Entrance Control announces the new design and functionality of the Orion Secure DoorGuard™, a high accuracy tailgate detection system using solid-state LiDAR technology. The distinctive architecture includes fully integrated housing and mounting systems. The high performance, smart sensing system generates thousands of Time of Flight (TOF) distance points per second then utilizes this data to create machine learning algorithms specific for entry and security doors.
OPTEX’s Enhanced Version Of Its Long-range Lidar Is Now Available
OPTEX has developed new versions of its product firmware and configuration software for its award-winning laser sensor, REDSCAN RLS-3060 series, that brings greater functionality to the existing models. Version 8.0 of the RLS-3060 series firmware and REDSCAN Manager feature a number of upgrades for the long-range, 190 degrees 2D LiDAR series. The new version brings features to the standard model 30m radius RLS-3060L that were only available in the high-end model previously.
Orion Entrance Control To Launch DoorGuard System At ISC West
Orion Entrance Control is now offering a unique new entrance control system that enhances security and monitoring at any doorway within a building where access is a security concern. The new DoorGuard system, which utilizes LIDAR (light detection and ranging) technology that is a key component in autonomous motor vehicles, is being unveiled at the ISC West. DoorGuard leapfrogs existing technology for accuracy and performance and can be added into current security systems. The DoorGuard unit is mounted above a door and integrates to the access system and Orion’s proprietary Infinity software.
StereoVision Imaging Acquires Digital Signal Corporation
StereoVision Imaging announced that it has closed on a financing package with a leading provider of structured debt products to technology and life science companies. This deal represents a major step in SVI’s effort to accelerate and diversify its current product slate, through a major acquisition and an injection of working capital. Through this acquisition SVI is acquiring a significant portfolio of U.S. and International patents related to the use of LIDAR technology for 3D facial recognition and other potential applications.
