BCDVideo debuted their new A&E Security Specifiers program, which is open for online registration through the BCDVideo website. This program will allow specifiers to leverage BCD’s two decades of experience and partnerships through an easy-to-use online portal, offering plentiful technical resources, ongoing education and expert support. With the help of the skillful A&E taskforce that BCD has assembled for this program, consultants will have direct access to BCD technology specialists.

SIA Names The SIA Women In Security Forum as 2018 Chairman’s Award Winner

The Security Industry Association(SIA) has selected the SIA Women in Security Forum as the recipient of the 2018 Chairman’s Award, which recognizes SIA members’ diligent efforts in furthering the SIA mission and overall commitment to the association’s future. SIA will present the award at The Advance, SIA’s annual membership meeting, during ISC West. The SIA Women in Security Forum supports the advancement of women in the security industry through programs and opportunities.

iluminar CEO Eddie Reynolds to Speak on Women’s Panel at ISC West 2019

iluminar announced that its CEO, Eddie Reynolds, has been selected to speak on a panel at ISC West 2019, the largest trade show for the security channel in the United States. Reynolds will join a female-driven panel at ISC West, “Being a Woman-owned business owner in the Security Industry is an advantage, not a disadvantage.” The discussion will center around the task of starting a business within the security industry, traditionally seen as male-dominated.

Industry Vet Maureen Carlo Joins BCDVideo

BCDVideo announces the hiring of a 15-year security industry veteran Maureen Carlo. In her position of Business Development Manager, Maureen will be responsible for driving BCDVideo’s technology message and product platform to national and local security integrators, as well as Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms throughout the Eastern United States. Maureen has a diverse industry background, including technology consultation, content development, system integrator, product portfolio manager, and marketing consultant.

The Security Industry Association, announced on International Women’s Day, the establishment of the SIA Women in Security Forum to support the participation of women in the security industry. Through programs, professional development and networking events, the committee will engage members, both men and women, who share this goal.
